Child overcoming shyness

Before our show, the nanny of a young girl came up to me and told me that the girl was almost not going to come to the party, because she was afraid to get picked as volunteer during the show.

I told her that nobody needs to volunteer.

The girl was so enchanted by the show that her shyness melted away. She talked to me about the magic for the longest time after the show.
